According to the date in my very first diary, I’ve been journaling since 1995.

  1. What does your first diary/journal look like?

It is a small pink journal with small multicolored hearts. It has a lock that’s hard to open now, so I leave it open.

  1. Do you ever rip out any pages from your journal?

Nope. It all stays. The good, the sad, and the crazy.

  1. What do you usually write about?

For years, I would write when I had to unload emotionally. But lately, I’ve been working through some reflection questions. They’ve helped me work through some craziness.

  1. What inspired you to writing in the beginning?

I honestly don’t remember. My first diary is dated 1995, twenty years ago. I’ve always like having a place when I could work through things privately.
